Biography

Winner of numerous competitions and composition in Australia, including the “Most Outstanding Music Performance”, Miguel Wu, pianist, singer, composer, and choir conductor, performed in numerous national and international venues across Australia, Paraguay, United States, and Europe, as well as on radio stations.

Miguel teaches both in-person and online, conducts workshops, and adjudicates auditions and competitions at both national and international levels.

He recorded and released a self produced album titled From The Sky, which has been broadcast on Australian radio stations and Qantas Airline Q Streaming.

Students & Lessons

Lessons are conducted in one hour time allocations. Ninety minute lessons are allocated for Grade 7 level and above. First lesson constitutes an initial consultation, audition, and assessment. The studio keeps a high standard of professional playing and students will need to pass the initial assessment before they are guided through a tailored piano course. Students and parents will receive an application with terms and conditions and is required to be signed before lessons are commenced.

Students who are unable to attend in person lessons are able to have online lessons. Music through Air is an online music lesson available to students and schools anywhere in the world. All you need is a computer with camera, internal and external microphone, and a solid internet connection. Online lessons must be prepaid.

From the Sky

From The Sky includes Miguel Wu’s own composition Wonders of the Sky, the prolific and influential composer of the Classical period Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Sonata in C minor K457, the famous French composer and pianist Francis Poulenc’s Trois Pastorales Pour Piano, and the Australian composer, pianist, music educator, and poet Miriam Hyde’s Water Nymph.
